AXIOM MUSIC GROUP
Scott Hall

Axiom Music Group was founded by Scott Hall. Scott was the original bassist and former manager for Christian hard rock and heavy metal powerhouse BRIDE. As an international recording artist, BRIDE toured the world, achieved numerous #1 hit singles, won multiple Dove Awards (Gospel Music equivalent of the Grammy) and earned multiple Dove Award nominations during Scott’s tenure as BRIDE’s manager.

After managing BRIDE, Scott’s services were enlisted in the mid 90’s by the internationally acclaimed Atlantic Records and Warner Brothers recording artist Turley Richards.  Scott was a board member for Turley’s non-profit music ministry, provided artwork design and photography for two of Turley’s self-produced CD’s, updated his press kit and promoted concerts for Turley including his fulltime music ministry kickoff concert at Louisville’s Southeast Christian Church. Scott also worked in the mid-90's with Comedian Chris Elrod. Since 1989 Chris's hope-filled and hilarious message has touched over 30 million people world-wide through speaking engagements, television appearances, magazine articles, audio recordings and radio broadcasts. Chris was also a regular contributor to Charisma magazine. Scott handled recording contract negotiations on Chris's behalf with some of the largest Christian record labels. Scott also acted in an advisory capacity for Chris regarding his concert bookings and public relations.

Scott’s Christian Music roots go back to the early 1980’s and the local Christian music scene in the Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana area of the United States.  Scott first became acquainted with Christian rock music approximately 1983 while photographing local Christian musicians and bands at Metro Louisville area coffeehouses and other live performance events.

Once it was discovered that Scott was also a musician he was periodically asked to “sit-in” during rehearsals with the artists he had been photographing.  Ultimately he was asked to join Dale and Troy Thompson’s band BRIDE (formerly named MATRIX).  BRIDE signed to Pure Metal Records, entered the studio and recorded the 1986 release Show No Mercy. Scott played bass guitar and sang background vocals on the album. Scott unexpectedly became a published songwriter when No Matter The Price (a composition he co-wrote with Troy Thompson) was included on the Show No Mercy album.  No Matter The Price was a last minute addition to Show No Mercy when the record label cut one of the songs originally slated for the album.

Although Scott left BRIDE before the sessions began for BRIDE’s sophomore album, 1988’s Live To Die, he did receive a second songwriting credit when Metal Might (another composition he co-wrote with Troy Thompson) was included on the Live To Die album.  A note of interest…a close examination of Live To Die’s liner notes reveals that Scott Hall is credited with writing the lyrics to perennial live show favorite, Hell No.  This is a mistake. While Scott did suggest the song’s title and the concept for the chorus…”We won’t go to Hell, No we won’t go”…it was actually Dale Thompson who wrote the song’s lyrics.

Scott’s departure from BRIDE was amicable and he remained in close contact with the band all the way through the completion of their three album commitment to Pure Metal Records and beyond.  Ironically, it was Pure Metal’s failure to honor their contractual obligation to BRIDE by refusing to pay songwriter royalties to the members of the group, that led to Scott’s next level of involvement with BRIDE.

In early 1990, Pure Metal Records and the entire Refuge Music Group catalog was purchased by Christian Music’s prestigious Star Song Communications.  This turn of events took BRIDE out of the Christian heavy metal underground and put them right into the mainstream of Christian music.  Dale and Troy knew that they must respond by demonstrating to Star Song that they were ready for the big leagues. They needed a proven manager. They needed someone who had knowledge of the business side of the music business.  They needed someone who would represent their interests.  They needed someone who knew their strengths and weaknesses.  They needed someone they could trust.  They needed someone who believed in them at a time when virtually no one else did.  They chose Scott Hall.  The following are a list of BRIDE’s many achievements while managed by Scott Hall:

Scott has also been involved in many other aspects of the music business including music publishing, concert promotion, talent search, seminars, radio and contributing articles to publications. Here are a few of the highlights:
